eFact: Resthome obtains accreditation for INAMI billing
After insurability and agreement requests, the third building block is in place: care homes can send their fees to the insuring bodies directly from Resthome.

Electronic invoicing is not open to just any software: only an accredited editor may transmit invoices to the insuring bodies. Without that accreditation, a care home stays on the paper circuit, however good its software. That is the door that has just opened for Resthome.
A month of invoices, one batch per health insurer
Fixed fees, rebates and extras go out grouped by insuring body, in the official format. No more intermediate spreadsheet, no more month-end reassembly — and rejections come back into the app with their reason.
The 1 October 2026 deadline
The official AVIQ FAQ on monthly electronic invoicing and eAgreement Light sets the calendar: test phase in early 2026, progressive go-live in spring, then mandatory production from 1 October 2026, with submission by the 20th of the following month at the latest. For Walloon care homes, the question is no longer whether to switch, but when — and with which editor.
What we do not claim
Our accreditation covers Wallonia, through the WalCareNet network. The MyCareNet and IrisCareNet accreditations are still in progress: we do not present them as obtained. We would rather write it plainly than let anyone assume a coverage we do not yet have.
The trio is complete
Three accreditations will have been obtained in 2026, all granted by the National Intermutualist College on the WalCareNet network: insurability (MDA) on 8 May, eAgreement Light on 17 June and eFact on 26 August.
