Health-insurer agreement requests.
Digital submission.

With eAgreement Light, agreement requests for your residents go to the health insurer as a PDF, electronically, straight from Resthome. In phase 1, the insurers' response still comes back on paper; phase 2, planned for January 2027, will digitalise that return as well.

Highlights

100% paperless sending WalCareNet · IrisCareNet CIN-approved · 17/06/2026 Built into the resident record Phase 2: January 2027

The submission of agreement requests goes digital.

For many residents, the insurer's intervention depends on a prior agreement. Historically, that request travelled by post — slow, untraceable, a source of payment delays. eAgreement Light turns the sending of this request digital: it is the first step toward fully paperless processing, with the insurers' return following in phase 2.

What it changes in practice

  • The request goes out in one click from the resident record
  • Secure electronic sending via WalCareNet or IrisCareNet
  • The insurer's return is recorded on the resident record (on paper in phase 1)
  • Every electronic send is timestamped and archived

eAgreement Light vs MDA insurability

MDA insurability checks whether the resident is in order with their health insurer.

eAgreement Light handles the agreement request itself. Both are built into Resthome and complement each other.

From the resident record to the insurer's agreement.

Four steps, no re-entry. Here is what the user does — and what Resthome does for them.

1

One click “Request an agreement”

From a resident's record, with no paper form or external portal.

2

The request goes out

Electronically and securely via WalCareNet or IrisCareNet, depending on the region.

3

The return is recorded

In phase 1, the insurer's return comes back on paper and is recorded on the record. In phase 2 (January 2027), this return will be digitalised.

4

The agreement is tracked

Status and validity dates visible on the record — approved, pending or refused.

Built for the admin team.

The admissions and invoicing team of nursing homes (MR), nursing and care homes (MRS) and short-stay centres (CSJ) handles its agreement requests without ever leaving Resthome or logging into an insurer portal.

Tracked on the resident record

  • Status of each request: pending, approved, refused
  • Agreement validity dates
  • Dated history of requests sent
  • Direct link with eFact invoicing

All the tracking, in one place.

No more blind follow-ups: the status of every agreement is readable at a glance on the resident record.

Clear statuses

Pending, approved, refused — each request shows its state on the resident record.

Timestamped sending

Every request sent is dated and traced, for a reliable history in case of an audit.

Linked to the resident record

The agreement is attached to the resident's record and feeds invoicing directly.

Digital archiving

Your records become digital, exportable and retained per the legal obligation.

Accreditation

Officially accredited on WalCareNet.

Resthome is accredited by the National Intermutualistic College (CIN) on WalCareNet. For insurability (MemberData / MDA), Resthome Suite is CIN-approved on WalCareNet (Wallonia). For eAgreement Light — the agreement requests to the health insurers — accreditation was obtained on 17 June 2026. All with the support of AViQ, in consultation with the Walloon insuring bodies (OAW).

Frequently asked questions

What is eAgreement Light?

It is the Belgian service that paperless-ifies the agreement requests sent to health insurers for your residents. The request, once sent on paper, now goes out by secure electronic channel, as a timestamped PDF. In phase 1, the insurer's return stays on paper; phase 2, planned for January 2027, will digitalise it.

How does it differ from MDA insurability?

MDA checks whether a resident is in order with their health insurer. eAgreement Light handles the agreement request itself. Both are complementary and built into Resthome.

Which networks and regions?

WalCareNet for Wallonia and IrisCareNet for Brussels, for nursing homes (MR), nursing and care homes (MRS) and short-stay centres (CSJ).

Do you still need to send paper?

For sending, no: the agreement request goes out electronically (PDF) from Resthome, timestamped and traced. For the return, in phase 1, the insurers' response still comes back on paper; phase 2, planned for January 2027, will digitalise that return too.

Is the service accredited?

Yes. Resthome is accredited by the CIN on WalCareNet: for insurability (MemberData / MDA), Resthome Suite is CIN-approved on WalCareNet (Wallonia); for eAgreement Light, accreditation was obtained on 17 June 2026.

How are agreements tracked?

Each request shows its status — pending, approved, refused — directly on the resident record, with its validity dates. No more blind follow-ups.
