Insurability: Resthome earns WalCareNet accreditation (MDA)
The National Intermutualist College has granted Resthome the WalCareNet accreditation for insurability data queries, in both synchronous and asynchronous modes. One more step towards reliable billing for Belgian care homes.
✓ Accreditation granted on 8 May 2026An official recognition
It is now official: Resthome, the software developed by LPLG, has obtained the WalCareNet accreditation issued by the National Intermutualist College (CIN) for the MDA service — the query of a member's insurability data — in the nursing-home sector.
The tests carried out via WalCareNet confirmed the conformity of the exchanges: Resthome is recognised as able to query insurability for all insurers.
MDA, an essential link in billing
Before billing a resident's accommodation and care, the facility must check that they are in order with their health insurance fund. That is the role of MDA: querying, in real time, a resident's insurability with the insurers.
A wrong or forgotten check means a rejected flat-rate, a blocked reimbursement, time lost fixing it. MDA secures this step at the source.
Two accredited modes: synchronous and asynchronous
Synchronous check
For a single case — a new admission, a doubt — Resthome queries WalCareNet and shows the answer within seconds. Ideal at the moment a resident is admitted.
Asynchronous check (in batch)
For the whole facility, Resthome sends a grouped request and retrieves the statuses in the background. The right method at the start of the month, before launching billing.
What it changes for your facility
What's next? The MDA accreditation joins that of eAgreement Light. Next on our roadmap: eFact (electronic billing), whose accreditation is in progress.
