Supplements

Beyond accommodation and the dependency package, a resident may have supplements to pay: single room, television, hairdresser, pedicure, drinks, telephone… Resthome groups them into a supplement envelope per resident and per month.

Supplement envelope

For each resident and each period, Resthome keeps an envelope that gathers all of their supplements for the month. It is opened automatically when the stay starts, and carries over from month to month for recurring supplements.

Adding a supplement

  1. Open the resident’s supplement envelope (from their record or the billing period).

  2. Add a line: product/service, quantity, price.

  3. Indicate whether it is one-off (once) or recurring (each month).

  4. Save.

Automatic synchronization

Adding, editing or removing a supplement automatically updates the affected resident’s invoice — no need to click “Refresh”. You are notified once the supplement has been properly reflected in the billing.

One-off and recurring supplements

  • One-off: billed only once (e.g. a haircut at the hairdresser).

  • Recurring: renewed each month as long as it is active (e.g. single-room supplement, TV). You can stop it at any time; it stops being billed the following month.

Month already posted

If the resident’s invoice is already posted, adding a supplement does not touch it automatically (protection). Set the invoice back to draft (or issue a credit note), then refresh.

Creating envelopes in bulk

On a billing period, the Create supplement envelopes action prepares, in one click, the envelopes for all residents active during the month — handy at the start of a period.
